MLB News: The game between the New York Yankees and the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati was postponed due to rain. To finish the three game series on time tomorrow, a double header will be played. The first game starts at 12:35 PM with the pitching match-up being Freddy Garcia (NYY) vs Mike Leake (CIN). The second game starts at 7:10 PM with the pitching match-up being Brian Gordon (NYY) vs Johnny Cueto (CIN).
NBA News: As the NBA Draft approaches so does the possible trade rumors. Yesterday was the possibility of the biggest one sided trade ever; Kevin Love and the #2 pick the 2011 NBA Draft (Most likely Derrick Williams) to the LA Lakers sending Pau Gasol to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and today's rumors were just as heated. Talks about Steve Nash being traded from the Phoenix Suns to the New York Knicks for Chauncey Billups have been mentioned. I do not see this trade happening but it would really be interesting to see Nash play along side Carmelo Anthony and once again Amar'e Stoudemire. It would also be exciting to see Nash play under one of the best offensive minded coaches I have seen Mike D'Antoni again. That trade would put the Knicks as a true front runner in the Eastern Conference.
The Atlanta Hawks are also rumored to be shopping Josh Smith.  Smith averaged 17 points and 9 rebounds last year. Smith would love to land in Boston. New Jersey, Orlando, or Houston. He would be a great fit and addition for all of those teams.
MMA News: The lightweight fight between Takanori Gomi (MMA 32-7, UFC 1-2) and Nate Diaz (MMA 13-7, UFC 8-5) is officially scheduled for UFC 135 in Denver, Colorado on September 24. Diaz has notable wins over Marcus Davis, Josh Neer, and Melvin Guillard. Gomi, considered to be one of the greatest lightweights of all time, has wins over Tyson Griffin and Jens Pulver. The UFC Light Heavyweight Championship fight between champion Jon Jones and challenger Quinton "Rampage" Jackson will headline the event.
